Biography

Manuel considers himself a “serial entrepreneur”.  With more than 15 years of experience in the creation and development of start-ups, manager of innovation projects for mobile payments and technological solutions applied to the financial sector, Manuel Grullon has been the leader of the Fintech generation/movement in the Dominican Republic becoming a strong enabler providing access to financial services to more people, promoting one of his main goals, financial inclusion, within all the country.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida’s International University (FIU) a Master’s Degree in Corporate Social Responsibility from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and an Executive MBA (EMBA) from Barna Business School, both in the Dominican Republic.

Founder and Chairman of GCS, leading Fintech in Dominican Republic with a strong portfolio of state of the art mobile solutions, administration of banking agencies and expertise in the developing and processing of digital channels for Latin American markets; Founder and Chairman of Nerdot company specialized in technological services offering a wide range of personal and corporate solutions and office automation systems, Chairman of RE/MAX Dominican Republic, starting a new stage for this international franchise promoting innovation and productivity aligned to the technological transformation of the Real State industry. In 2020, Manuel was appointed as Member of the Board of Grupo Popular and Banco Popular Dominicano; In march 2022 during the Extraordinary Ordinary Annual General Assembly of Shareholders, Manuel was designated Vice President of the Board of Directors of Banco Popular Dominicano, recognized as the best digital bank in the Dominican Republic for being a leading entity in the implementation of new technologies for the modernization of financial services.

For his social commitment, he offers his support to several non-profit organizations such as: Past President and founder of the Dominican Fintech Association (AdoFintech) from 2018 to 2020; member of the Council of Regents of IOMG organization with focus in education and investigation; Member of the Board of Trustees at Rumsey Hall School in Connecticut, United States and his more recently project the protection of the cultural and religious heritage of the Basilica Catedral  de Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia en Higuey, to which que has emotional ties.

In past years, he has been member of the Boards of Directors of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) and the Information and Communications Technology Committee (TIC) for the American Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic.
